Members
Invite people to your workspace and control what they can do.
How members are described
Every member has a tier (their permission level) and zero or more capabilities (Photographer and/or Editor). These are set independently, so the same person can be a Manager and a Photographer. For a full explanation of what each tier and capability allows, see the Roles & Capabilities reference.
| Tier | Description |
|---|---|
| Owner | Workspace creator. Full access; cannot be removed. One per workspace. |
| Admin | Manages settings, services, billing, team, and integrations. |
| Manager | Runs operations — assigns work, makes bookings, views the schedule. |
| Staff | Internal team member; sees their own jobs and the schedule. |
| Guest | A client — books and views only their own jobs. |
| Capability | Adds |
|---|---|
| Photographer | Shoot schedule + raw-media upload; eligible for shoot assignment. |
| Editor | Editing queue + deliverable upload; eligible for editor assignment. |
The Members page
Open it from Advanced → Members.
People › Crew lists your internal members (Owners, Admins, Managers, Staff). Each row shows a tier badge and capability chips (a camera icon for Photographer, a pencil icon for Editor). You can filter by tier and by capability. Clients are the Clients segment of the same People place.
Inviting members
Who can invite whom
- Owners and Admins can invite any tier (Admin, Manager, Staff, Guest).
- Managers can invite Staff and Guest members only.
Send an invite
- Go to Advanced → Members and click Invite Member.
- Enter the person's email address.
- Choose their tier.
- (Optional, for Staff and Manager invites) tick Photographer and/or Editor to give them those capabilities on arrival.
- Click Send Invite.
You don't have to fill in skills, availability, or service areas when inviting. If you tick a capability, REMO creates a default profile when the person joins — configure the details from the Members page afterwards.
What happens next
- The invitee receives an email with a secure link (valid for 7 days). The link is also shown in the UI so you can share it manually.
- They click it and sign in or create an account.
- They're added to your workspace at the tier you chose, with any capabilities you ticked.
- They appear in your team list.
If someone has already accepted an invite, clicking the link again simply takes them into the workspace rather than showing an error.
Pending invites
From the Members page you can see who hasn't accepted yet, resend the email, or cancel a pending invite.
Managing members
Change a member's tier
- Click the ⋯ menu on the member's row and choose Edit Role.
- Pick the new tier (Admin, Manager, or Staff).
- Confirm.
Promoting someone to Admin can only be done by the Owner. Making someone the Owner requires an ownership transfer, not a tier change.
Add a capability
To make an existing member a photographer or editor, open the ⋯ menu and choose Add Photographer or Add Editor. REMO creates a default profile and the member immediately gains that dashboard. Expand their row to configure skills, availability, and service area.
Remove a capability or profile
Expand a member's row and remove the Photographer or Editor profile.
If the member is currently assigned to active jobs, REMO asks you to confirm and helps reassign that work (or flags it for manual review) before removing the capability — so nothing falls through the cracks.
Remove a member
- Open the ⋯ menu on the member's row and choose Remove.
- Confirm.
Removing a member revokes their access immediately. Their historical data (past jobs, uploads) is preserved for your records.
Setting up your own profile
If you're an Owner or Admin who also shoots or edits, the Members page shows a Set up your profile banner offering one-click Photographer/Editor setup for your own account. This banner is keyed to you specifically, so in a workspace with several admins each person only sees it for themselves.
Photographers and editors can also manage their own profile at any time from the profile menu — changes take effect immediately.
Photographer profile
A Photographer capability includes:
- Skills — Photography, Videography, Drone, 3D Scanning
- Service area — home-base location, maximum travel radius (miles), and covered areas
- Availability — working hours per day and a booking buffer
- A rating and completed-job count that build over time
These fields drive automatic photographer assignment, so keeping them accurate improves matching.
Editor profile
An Editor capability includes:
- Skills — Photo editing, Video editing, Color grading, 3D processing, Drone editing
- Specialties — e.g. luxury properties, HDR, virtual staging, twilight, aerial
- Availability & capacity — working hours and maximum concurrent jobs
- Workload, turnaround, and rating tracking
Activity logging
Team changes — invites, tier changes, capability grants, removals, and profile updates — are recorded. View them in the workspace activity log or a job's Activity tab.
