Map

The Map is your studio on one screen: where you shoot, where your crew lives, and what is happening today.

Open it from Map on the rail. On a phone, it is under More. Owners, admins and managers see it.

What the map shows

Turn each layer on or off with the chips above the map.

  • Headquarters: your studio's address. The map centers here.
  • Coverage: your service areas, drawn as shapes. Bookings outside them are refused or charged travel.
  • Crew: each photographer's home base and travel radius, with what they are doing now: on a shoot, on the way, free, or off today.
  • Today: today's shoots, each pinned at its address.
  • Pipeline: open jobs across every stage, when you want the wider view.
  • Editors: counted by timezone. Editors are never placed at an address.

The column on the left lists the same things. Click any row or pin to see it in the panel on the right, with a way to open the job, the person, or the area in the Handbook.

Add an area

  1. Click Add an area.
  2. Name it.
  3. Under Start from, pick a county to begin from its outline, or Blank to draw your own.
  4. Draw on the map. Click to add points, drag a point to move it, and double-click to close the shape.
  5. Set Travel if shoots here cost extra, and turn Bookable off if the area should show but take no bookings yet.
  6. Click Save area.

While you draw, the form shows who the area covers: which photographers reach it, and how many of today's shoots fall inside.

Edit an area

Click the area on the map or in the column, then Edit boundary. Move points, change the name or travel, and save.

Where Service Areas went

The old Service Areas screen and the manager dashboard's map are gone. Everything they did now happens on the Map. Old links and pins to Service Areas open the Map, and the Handbook's Coverage section opens it too.

Troubleshooting

The map does not load. Refresh the page, then try another browser.

A shoot is in the wrong place. Check the job's address. The pin follows the address on the job.

A photographer is missing. They appear once they set a home base.
