Storage Management

REMO stores your media and shows you how much of your studio's storage you are using. This guide explains how storage works and how to manage it.

Storage Overview

REMO uses Cloudflare R2 for reliable, fast media storage with CDN delivery. Each workspace has a storage quota.

Storage Includes

Storage quota includes all uploaded media: raw photos, processed images, videos, and deliverables.

Checking Storage Usage

Storage Dashboard

Admins can view storage usage under Advanced → Storage:

  1. Navigate to Advanced → Storage
  2. View the Storage Usage Card showing:
    • Current usage (GB used)
    • Total quota (GB available)
    • Usage percentage
    • Visual progress bar

Storage Indicators

Storage usage is color-coded:

  • Green (0-70%): Healthy usage
  • Amber (70-90%): Approaching limit
  • Red (90%+): Near or at limit

Storage Warnings

Warning Banner

When storage usage exceeds 80%, a StorageWarningBanner appears at the top of the dashboard:

  • 80-90%: Yellow warning - "Storage running low"
  • 90-99%: Orange warning - "Storage almost full"
  • 100%: Red alert - "Storage full"

Upload Restrictions

When storage is full:

  • New file uploads are blocked
  • A clear message explains the limitation
  • Options to upgrade or manage files are presented

Managing Storage

Viewing File Usage

See which jobs are using the most storage:

  1. Go to Advanced → Storage
  2. View storage breakdown by:
    • Total raw uploads
    • Processed/enhanced images
    • Delivered media
    • Job-by-job breakdown (if available)

Reducing Storage Usage

To free up storage space:

  1. Archive completed jobs - Move old jobs to archived status
  2. Delete raw files - After delivery, raw files may be removed
  3. Clean up failed uploads - Remove incomplete or abandoned uploads
  4. Export to Dropbox - Move delivered media to external storage

Best Practices

  • Regularly review storage usage
  • Archive jobs older than 90 days
  • Set up Dropbox integration for automatic offloading
  • Consider upgrading if consistently near limits

Storage and Uploads

Upload Flow

When uploading files:

  1. Pre-upload check: System verifies sufficient quota
  2. Upload proceeds: If quota available, upload begins
  3. Quota blocked: If insufficient space, upload is rejected with guidance

TypeExtensionsMax Size
PhotosJPG, JPEG, PNG, HEIC, RAW, DNG100 MB
