Your first booking

A booking comes in one of two doors. Both use the same room and end in the same place: a job on your board, a photographer on it, and everyone told.

Two doors

Your booking page. Live from day one at remo-app.com/book/your-studio, in your branding. Clients book there without an account; a client with a portal account books from the portal and sees the job afterwards. Share the link, put it on your site, put it in your email signature.

New booking, made by you. On the Jobs board, the New booking button; or press ⌘K anywhere and type new booking. Same room, but you're booking on a client's behalf — for a phone order, a repeat client, a favour.

The room

The booking is four steps. Every step shows the running price.

Where

The property address. REMO places it, works out drive time from your base, and checks it against your coverage. Outside every area you cover, the travel fee from your Handbook is added and the client sees it before they commit.

What

The property's square footage, then what to shoot. Services and packages come from your catalog, priced at that footage — not a size bucket, the real number. Extras that go with the order are offered; extras that don't fit are not.

If the listing already has photos and only needs editing, the client can choose that instead: no shoot, an upload, an edit, a delivery. See the editing-only workflow.

When

A calendar of the days you book, and the times that are actually free: inside your hours, after your notice period, inside your booking window, and clear on the calendar of a photographer who can shoot this order. A time nobody can take is not offered.

Need it sooner than your notice allows? The client can ask, and the ask lands in your Feed for a yes or a no.

Booked

The client's name and email, a note if they have one, and the confirmation. On your own booking page the client pays here if your Handbook says they pay up front.

After

The moment the booking lands:

  1. A job exists. It appears on the Jobs board in Scheduled, with an order number (FP-00042), a page of its own, and the order snapshotted as it was priced.

  2. A photographer is on it. REMO picks the best fit for the order and the slot:

    FactorWeight
    Rating40%
    Proximity to the property30%
    Current workload30%

Only photographers with the skills the order needs, covering the area, and free at that time are considered. If you asked REMO to propose everything, the assignment waits in your Feed for approval instead.

  3. Everyone is told. The client gets a confirmation; the photographer gets the assignment; your Slack channel gets a line, if you've connected one.

  4. The Feed knows. From here on, the Feed tells you only when something needs you: the shoot is late, the raws haven't arrived, editing is over its window, a client asks for a change.

Moving it

Things change. Ask REMO, in the dock or in Slack:

Move Friday's Brickell shoot to 4pm.

Give the Coral Way job to Sofia.

REMO checks the calendar, makes the change if it fits, and reports what it did and who it told. If it doesn't fit, it says why and offers what does.
