Jobs

A job is a booking that's underway. You watch all of them on the Jobs board and work on one at a time on its page.

The board

The board has six lanes. A job moves left to right as it goes.

LaneWhat's there
ScheduledShoots that are booked, and editing orders waiting for the client's photos
In ProgressShoots happening right now
Shoot CompleteThe shoot is done; raws are coming in
Media ReceivedThe photos are in and need an editor
EditingSomeone is working on them
Ready for DeliveryThe finals are in; one click delivers

Delivered and cancelled jobs leave the board.

A job that's been sitting in a lane for more than two days is marked stuck. A shoot that's more than 15 minutes past its start time is marked late. The bar at the bottom of the shell counts both.

You can drag a job to the next lane. Dragging it backwards asks you to confirm.

The job page

Click any job to open its page. Top to bottom:

  • Header — the address, the order number, the stage, and the one button for what's next.
  • People — the client, photographer, editor and manager. Click a person to message them, swap them, or add someone.
  • Now — one line on where things stand right now, with a link or two for what you might do about it. For example: Shoot finished 2h ago · Diego has 12 raws up · not sent yet.
  • Media — raw, edited and delivered photos, with their counts.
  • Cards — the facts (when, size, area), the order, and any notes from the client, the shoot or the editor.
  • Conversation — two threads. Client is what the client sees. Team is only your team.
  • Activity — what REMO did on this job, and when.

The ⋯ menu holds the rest: reschedule, edit the order, move the job to another stage, cancel, archive, copy the link.

Who shoots it

REMO picks a photographer when the booking lands: someone with the right skills, who covers the area, and is free at that time. It weighs how close they are, how busy they are, and their rating.

To change who's on it, open the job and click the photographer's chip, then Swap…. Or ask REMO: Give the Coral Way job to Sofia.

From shoot to editing

The photographer starts the shoot from their phone and ends it the same way. Their raws upload as they go.

Raws don't move on by themselves. When the photographer is done uploading, they press Send raws to editing. You can do it too, with the Send to editing button on the job page.

Once the raws are sent, REMO suggests an editor. If you've turned on auto-approve for editors, they're assigned and the job moves to Editing on its own. Otherwise the suggestion waits on the job page and in your Feed.

If the job is set to AI editing, REMO AUTO starts instead. See AI editing.

Editing and review

The editor works from their own queue. When they finish, they press Send to QA and the job lands in Ready for Delivery.

That's your check. Open the job, look at the finals, and either:

  • Deliver — sends the delivery email to the client. See Delivery.
  • Send back… — returns it to the editor with a note. The client isn't told.

Asking REMO

The fastest way to move a job is to say so. In the dock beside your work, or in Slack:

Move Friday's Brickell shoot to 4pm.

Who's editing FP-00041?

Deliver 88 Ocean Drive.

REMO does it, or tells you why it can't, and reports who was told.
